Founded in January, 1999 and building on their personal reputations for providing quality consulting services at fair prices, the founders rapidly assembled a client base from which to build. Power Consulting Engineers exists for the purpose of providing quality consulting and design services to electric utilities and industrial customers. By providing these quality services at reasonable prices, we are becoming not only the value leader in our field, but also a leader because of our expert service.

Our core business includes design of distribution substations for electric cooperatives, dedicated substations for industrial customers, and transmission switching stations for investor-owned utilities. We are experienced with substation switching schemes and equipment ranging from 4.16 through 245kV, with capacity through 4000 Amps.

Power Consulting Engineers excels in providing professional services in a timely and cost-effective manner. Working closely with our clients' engineering staff to identify their ideas and specific needs is the first step in most of our projects. We know how to build on our clients existing design standards and operating philosophies, and then follow their standards for documentation, and equipment.

We are experts at assisting our clients' in-house engineering personnel. Many of our clients' personnel are capable of completing the same design and project implementation that they hire us to perform. PCE is able to quickly assemble a project team of experienced engineers and support staff trained for the specific task needed. Such a team can undertake and complete the project much more efficiently than an in house staff. Usually the in-house staff is already consumed in daily operations and would have to spend considerable time researching and studying substation design alternatives to complete the same task.
